This political thriller which begins with the movement from the Confederate Treasury on the night of April 2 and 3, l865 from Richmond and which then switches to a young decendent of Confederate hereos who helped transport the gold, who is serving as an Infantry Lieutenant in Iraq, and then to USC in Columbia, where the modern charactes are people we all know, makes for a fascinating story. This is a novel, but based on fact. It also portrays the struggle of pro Southerners to preserve their heritage today.
